Some would suggest it a waste of time to ponder, while others might regard it deeply existential as a civilization.   Less an answer, more a question - the Seasonal Kaleidoscope is an objet d’ art celebrating our postcolonial zeitgeist. It is a poignant allegory of longing for greener pastures, contemplating the perfection of one’s lasting impression and association of a place in time. In Yeats’ case, this genius loci is the natural splendour of Lough Gill and the Isle of Innisfree. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of W B Yeats, it is befitting one does literally ‘arise and go now, and go to Innisfree’. To trace those imaginary steps during the Yeats 2015 festival in a relatively unchanged natural setting would hugely satisfy that aspiration. This reinstatement build is a reaffirmation of vows - for a marriage between aspiration and pragmatism, the transient and the immemorial, healing and moving forward. This second chance provides opportunity to seek brief moments to connect with nature amidst daily family life.
